Liverpool plan enormous Suarez offer

Luis Suarez will reportedly be propelled among the highest earners in the Premier League if he agrees to sign a new Liverpool contract, with the club preparing to make a sizeable offer to the Uruguayan early next year.

The 26-year-old has been in quite breathtaking form this season, with his 13 goals in nine games placing Suarez at the summit of the league's scoring charts. Suarez also scored 30 times in all competitions last season, and his last 42 league games have brought 36 goals.

According to The Mirror, Suarez's enduring purple patch will afford him the opportunity to be paid a salary comparative to those of Yaya Toure and Eden Hazard and, thus, place the player in the bracket of the top earners in the country.

A Liverpool source is reported to have described the proposed offer as 'amazing' and the Anfield hierarchy are planning to speak to Suarez in the coming weeks, despite the forward still having over two years remaining on his current contract.

Suarez had hoped to leave Liverpool for Arsenal during the summer transfer window but, after his competitive return post-ban, has intimated that he is happy at the club.

Any decision on committing his future, however, will surely be tempered by Liverpool's league position, with Suarez clear that his ambition is to play Champions League football.

Liverpool are certainly in a strong position to end their absence from Europe's top table, even if their hopes of winning the league this season are slowly fading.
