Denver Nuggets guard Nate Robinson has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for his public outburst against officials, reports ESPN.
Robinson said ‘referees hate me’ after he committed a technical foul in his side’s narrow 97-95 win over the New York Knicks last Friday.
The 29-year-old said after the match against the Knicks: "They hate me, they hate me.
“I don’t know why, but it is what it is. I already know I’ve got the target on my back, but I’ll play through it; I don’t care. I really don’t. It doesn’t bother me none."
Robinson - who accumulated 11 technical fouls throughout the 2012/13 campaign – has been punished for lambasting the officials.
The former Knicks star has been a key figure for the Nuggets this season, having appeared in all 20 of their 2013/14 games.
Robinson scored 20 points against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night, as his side ran out 103-92 winners at the Wells Fargo Center.
Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw will be hoping his star player can put last week’s events behind him and concentrate on his basketball.
Robinson is likely to be involved in the Nuggets’ clash against the Washington Wizards on Monday.
