Carmelo Anthony 'embarrassed' by latest New York Knicks defeat

New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony vented his frustration after his side's defeat to the Boston Celtics, according to Bleacher Report.

The Knicks, who have struggled for form this season, lost 114-73 to the Celtics at home.

Mike Woodson side's defeat at Madison Square Garden was their 10th loss in their last 12 games.

The result was even more embarrassing as the Celtics were without star player Rajon Rondo.

Anthony, speaking to's Adam Zagoria, said the Knicks' heavy defeat was 'a good old fashioned ass whupping'.

The Knicks won their first game in 10 matches last Thursday when they beat the Brooklyn Nets.

They followed up their win by defeating the Orlando Magic the following night but seem to have suffered yet another setback.

The Knicks have the second worst record in the Eastern Conference this season, as they have won just five games out of a possible 19.
