Football News

Didier Drogba has always been living proof that there is more to footballers than just running around a pitch.

The big Ivorian, who made himself a legend during his eight years with Chelsea, is as well known for his charitable work through his foundation as he is for putting the ball into the back of the net.

However now Chelsea - and football fans in general - will get the chance to see what Drogba is really like when a new documentary about his life hits the air.

Charting his rise from the bottom to the top of the professional game and his historic penalty kick for Chelsea which won them the Champions League - the documentary promises fans the chance to glimpse behind the scenes of the big striker's biggest moments.

Now with Galatasaray after an ill-fated spell in China, Drogba is still terrorising defenders at the ripe old age of 35. However what most fans don't get to see is his altruistic nature that has helped millions as he tries to bring peace to his home country.

This is a must-see documentary for Chelsea fans - check out the trailer above.

Sports Life Stories: Didier Drogba airs in the UK on Tuesday 10th December, at 11:15pm on ITV4
