The defender, who turns 17 tomorrow, has been a key member of the Sofia side this season and has impressed in the back-line.

And with David Moyes looking to strengthen his squad, the Red Devils manager could now swoop for the starlet in the near future.

The Manchester United boss will be searching for long term replacements for the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.

Manchester United have the likes of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling ready to compete for the back-line position and they may soon have to battle Velkov for a place in the Red Devils' side.
