Football cannon created for goalkeeping practice?

Football News

Slovenian football fanatics might have invented the greatest goalkeeper training tool in history.

Or, they might have invented the most dangerous piece of football equipment the game has ever known.

We’ll let you be the judge, but there is little denying that this video is quite extraordinary!

A brave goalkeeper stands between the sticks as two ‘friends’ light cannons with balls waiting to fly. It appears to be a disaster, with the first ball rather tamely bouncing towards the keeper – who kicks it away with his feet.

That quickly changes for the second ball however, which rockets past the keeper before he even has a chance to move.

The youngster wisely decides to get out of the way before the last cannon is lit, and it was a wise choice as the ball flies over the bar at a rate of knots. It’s still rising now.

Watch the incredible video at the top of this story, and let us know if you think the football cannon has a future…
