Gavin Floyd has signed a one-year deal with Atlanta Braves, reports cbssports.
The 30-year-old, who was a free agent before he completed his switch to the Braves, will take home a base salary of $4 million which could rise to as much as $8.5 million after possible incentives.
The pitcher went under surgery after tearing his ulnar collateral ligament last May and may not be fit to start the new season.
2012 was Floyd's last full season in which he was 12-11 with a 4.29 RA which was ultimately his best season since 2008.
And now, at the Braves, he will now battle it out with the likes of Mike Minor, Julio Teheran, Kris Medlen, Brandon Beachy and Alex Wood.
With a career average of 70-70 he will hope for a successful 2014 with the Braves and he will be desperate to stay fit for the entire campaign.
