Manchester United are readying a double swoop for Porto duo Alex Sandro and Eliaquim Mangala, according to The Daily Star

With Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand coming to the twilight years of their careers, it appears that Red Devils boss David Moyes has identified the duo as the ideal candidates to fill the void at the Theatre of Dreams.

The United boss had been spotted watching the duo during Porto's 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid recently and now the Old Trafford outfit could be set to up their interest in the pairing.

Whilst Manchester United still remain keen on Everton full-back Leighton Baines, Moyes may now opt for Sandro as he looks to bring him in alongside 22-year-old Mangala.

David Moyes' immediate attention however will be on Manchester United's trip to the Britannia Stadium tomorrow evening.

Manchester United can book their place in the semi-final of the Capital One Cup with a victory over Mark Hughes' Stoke City side.
