Beatles legend Paul McCartney took in a Brooklyn Nets v Philadelphia 76ers game on Monday night, and almost got his hands on some free merchandise.

Sitting up in the "nosebleed" seats at the Barclays Center in New York, the Sergeant Pepper star came close to nabbing a free t-shirt fired by a cannon on the court during the half-time entertainment.

The Nets (9-15) have been struggling horribly this season under first-year coach Jason Kidd but blew away the Sixers 94-130 for their ninth win of the campaign.

What got McCartney most fired up though, was the chance to get his hands on a Brooklyn Nets t-shirt - just look at his reaction in the clip.

The LA Lakers have Jack Nickolson, the New York Knicks have Spike Lee, is Paul McCartney the go-to celebrity fan for the Nets?
