Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been ruled out for the rest of the year with a hamstring injury but is likely to make a return from injury in January.
It may take him a while to get back to his very best - but he should be in full flow by the time the last-16 tie comes around in February.
Arsene Wenger will have to decide whether to either man-mark Messi - and risk the likes of Neymar and Pedro being given more time and space - or tell his defenders to play their normal game and not focus too much of their attention on the Argentine international.
Either way, Arsenal better hope Messi is struggling for form and fitness when the two sides meet in February and March.
