Real Madrid are readying a summer move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, reports The Daily Star.

The Spanish giants still want to bring the Uruguayan striker to La Liga despite the Reds wanting to make him their highest ever paid player. 

It had been reported that Liverpool were ready to offer the inform striker £200,000-a-week in order to stay on Merseyside, however they will now have to try and keep him away from the lure of Madrid. 

Suarez has ben in sensational form for Liverpool this season having scored 17 league goals and currently topping the charts in the Premier League. 

Liverpool will be hoping to tie up a deal with the controversial forward before the end of the season in order to avoid another battle to keep Suarez at the club.

Last summer, Arsenal were desperate to land Suarez, but Liverpool kept their star striker and will now be hoping he stays for the long term.
