Lucho Gonzalez isn't interested in a move to Argentine outfit Racing Club de Avellaneda amid interest from Manchester United, reports Abola.

The midfield star, who's currently playing his trade for Porto, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent days and he has now crushed suggestions that he will return to his country of birth.

The 32-year-old is out of contract at Porto at the end of the season and could be seen as the short term answer to Manchester United's midfield problems.

Manchester United have struggled in the middle of the park this season with the likes of Tom Cleverley, Marouane Fellaini and Anderson all struggling to hold down a regular spot in the starting XI.

And with Gonzalez set to become available, Moyes could yet make a move for the midfield ace.

However the Manchester United manager's immediate attention will be on his side's clash with Stoke City tonight.

Manchester United will be hoping for a win at the Britannia in order to book their place in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.
