San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker will sit out his side's next two games due to a leg injury.

The LA Times believe Parker bruised his shin during the Spurs' recent 115-92 defeat to the Los Angeles Clippers.

And the San Antonio Spurs have now confirmed their 31-year-old point guard is going to have to spend some time on the sidelines.

Parker will now miss the Spurs' games against the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors.

The Belgium-born Frenchman will then be assessed on Saturday to see if he has any chance of making his comeback against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich will be hoping his star player isn't out for too long as Parker has averaged 18 points per game so far this season.

The Spurs are currently top of the Western Conference's Southwest division with an impressive 19 wins from 26 games.
