1: Lionel Messi

Football News

Lionel Messi takes our No.1 sport and honestly it could be for a number of reasons.

The fact that this year has been relatively quiet by his high standards, the fact he may be aiming to win back the Ballon d'Or from his biggest rival, the fact he's the shining hope for Argentina if they want to win the World Cup, the fact he's been linked with a number of sensational transfers away from Barca... take your pick.

One things for sure; Messi is all set for a blockbuster 2014.
