Liverpool fans are the most 'bitter, twisted, bitchy and spiteful fans' in the Premier League by quite some distance indeed, at least that's the opinion of former Chelsea star Jason Cundy.

Chelsea met Liverpool in a feisty affair at Stamford Bridge last Sunday and the Blues were able to emerge triumphant after Eden Hazard and Samuel Eto'o rendered redundant the opener scored by Martin Skrtel.

Liverpool, however, felt hard done-by to say the least after Eto'o appeared to foul Luis Suarez in the box during the game's latter stages, while the Cameroon international also seemed fortunate to stay on the pitch following an early challenge.

Given Cundy's position as a pundit on Chelsea TV, the ex-Blues defender found himself embroiled in a number of debates with Liverpool fans after the encounter and the 44-year-old expressed his feelings for the Anfield faithful during his next televised segment.

'I’ve been having some interesting conversations with Liverpool fans on Twitter," Cundy said during the Chelsea TV coverage of the New Year's day defeat of Southampton.

"They are the most bitter, twisted, bitchy and spiteful fans I have ever, ever come across. By some distance."
