It was all going so well for Rudi Garcia at AS Roma after 10 games.

Roma had 10 wins and the only 100% record in the five major European leagues.

But it all started to go pear shaped when they drew with Torino, going on to record four straight draws and losing top spot to a strengthening Juventus.

The stage was set for a top of the table clash last night as Roma travelled to the Juventus Stadium in what represented a fantastic opportunity to close the five point gap.

Roma were still unbeaten in the league and looked strong.

After going 2-0 down, thanks to goals from Arturo Vidal and Leonardo Bonucci, things looked bleak for the Rome outfit.

Things got a whole lot worse in the 76th minute when Daniele De Rossi was shown a straight red card for a two-footed lunge on Giorgio Chiellini.

Amazingly, the ensuing free-kick resulted in a red card for Leandro Castan, who crazily cleared the ball off the line with his hand, leaving Roma with nine men and an eight point gap between them and leaders Juventus.

Game over.
