Chelsea could part ways with both two stars this month, as Jose Mourinho looks to clear the deadwood from Stamford Bridge and bring in new players.

Both Demba Ba and Ryan Bertrand have been heavily linked with January exits from the west London outfit, and it’s thought that Mourinho will not object to either of them departing in the coming weeks.

West London Sport, citing the Mirror, suggest that Ba has been targeted by Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis, who is looking to bring firepower to Selhurst Park in a bid to beat the drop.

The Senegalese striker, who has been linked with an exit that could cost potential suitors as much as £15million, has struggled since moving to the Blues from Newcastle and this season only has one Premier League goal to his name.

Alternatively, any transfer concerning Ryan Bertrand is thought to be loan based, with Liverpool having been named in connection on a number of occasions.

One potential stumbling block however could be Chelsea’s concern over how much the full-back will develop, given that current loanee Victor Moses has only played six times for the Reds.

The duo’s futures will no doubt be followed with strong interest, but at the moment speculation is leaning towards the notion that they could both be leaving.
