R&B sensation Rihanna watched the Brooklyn Nets defeat the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.

The Bajan singer was courtside along with her close friend and model Cara Delevingne, who was attending her first ever NBA game.

And Rihanna, who has been spotted at the Barclays Center before, appeared to be a lucky charm for the home side as the Brooklyn Nets secured their third successive win.

Rihanna and 21-year-old English fashion model Delevingne, who was wearing a Brooklyn Nets t-shirt, saw the brilliant Joe Johnson steal the show with 23 points and four assists.

Delevingne took to Twitter after the match to declare her happiness at the fact the Brooklyn Nets won their home encounter against the Atlanta Hawks.

The model wrote: 'My first basketball game, the Nets won! Thanks for the lovely evening @rihanna @jennnrosales x’

The match at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn ended 91-86 to the home side.

Jason Kidd's side are now second in the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division following their mini resurgence in form.
