Chelsea are currently favourites to sign Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain before the end of the January transfer window.

Sky Bet have the Blues priced at 9/2 to sign the prolific 26-year-old, who has scored 13 goals in 22 appearances this season.

Also in the running to sign Higuain are Arsenal, who were strongly linked with the striker in the summer, followed by Manchester United - with the Premier League clubs priced at 10/1 and 16/1, respectively.

However, it's Chelsea who lead the way - with the current market prices reflecting recent reports in the media.

Last week, the Telegraph revealed that Chelsea had a £50m bid rejected by Napoli for Higuain - but that a second offer could follow before the end of the window.

Jose Mourinho is determined to add some fire-power to his squad and appears to have identified Higuain, who he worked with during his spell at Real Madrid, as a realistic target.

Other clubs in the running to sign the South American include Juventus, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City.
