When you’re a university basketballer vying for a place in the NBA draft for next season, the one thing you want to consistently do is make positive headlines for your performances.

One perfect example of such an approach can be found by simply YouTubing the name Ovie Soko.

The Duquesne University senior has amassed a healthy average of 18.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, and one look at the video above will prove just why.

The 6ft 8in youngster recieved an intelligent back-board pass from team-mate Derrick Colter before slamming down amongst a throng of players to register what may just go down as a trademark moment in his career to date.

A move that’s eerily reminiscent of the occasional link-ups found between the likes of Dwayne Wade and LeBron James (see the Miami Heat’s Christmas day victory over the Los Angeles Lakers) will no doubt attract attention from NBA scouts…
