Chelsea could still make a move in the January transfer window if they sell their wantaway stars, reports The Daily Star.

Juan Mata and Kevin De Bruyne have both been linked with a move away from the Stamford Bridge outfit and, despite Jose Mourinho being keen for the pair to fight for their places, the duo could now depart the Blues in this window.

And if the pair do depart the club, then Chelsea will boss Jose Mourinho could make a move in this window despite having previously stated that he won't be doing any business.

Chelsea are in need of a new striker with trio Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba struggling for consistency this season, but Mourinho doesn't believe a top class striker will available in January.

Jose Mourinho's immediate attention will be on his side's trip to Hull City tomorrow lunch time. The Blues will be hoping to secure three points at the KC Stadium which will temporarily see them go top of the Premier League.
