Manchester United and Tottenham target Andrea Pirlo is close to signing a new deal at Juventus, according to reports in Italy.

The 34-year-old pass master has been linked with a move to the Premier League over recent months as his current contract is due to expire in the summer.

Manchester United and Tottenham are just some of the clubs linked with making a move for the experienced veteran at the end of the season, however Pirlo will dash their hopes by committing his future to Juventus.

Pirlo, who has also played at Inter and AC Milan, continues to play an integral part for the Old Lady.

The Italian international has featured in 15 of Juventus' opening 19 games of the Serie A campaign so far this season.

Manchester United boss David Moyes was in Italy yesterday afternoon to watch Juventus' game against Cagliari - but it has been reported that he was there to watch Serie A quartet Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal, Claudio Marchisio and Davide Astori rather than Pirlo.
