Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau has dismissed rumours that he will be taking over at the New York Knicks next season, reports cbssports.

It had previously been reported that Thibodeau had agreed to rejoin the Knicks having previously spent a spell at the franchise as an assistant coach.

However, despite the link, Thibodeau has insisted that his only focus is on the Bulls. The coach has a contract with the team until 2016/17 and will looks set to stay with the team for the foreseeable future.

He oversaw the Bulls' 103-97 victory against the Bobcats on Sunday as his side made it five wins in a row. And after the win, he laughed off the possibility of him taking over at the Knicks.

“Come on, now. Come on. That stuff's ridiculous. It really is. First, I was being traded. I could care less about that stuff. I've said it before: I love this team, I love the guys that we have and I love the fighting spirit of this team, so that's all I'm thinking about.”

Thibodeau will now turn his attention to the Bulls' match against the Wizards tomorrow. The Bulls will be looking to make it six straight wins at the United Center.
