Manchester United are ready to let Alex Buttner leave the club if they sign Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao this month, reports The Manchester Evening News.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the Portuguese ace in recent time and, as they step up in their pursuit of the star, Manchester United boss David Moyes seems ready to let Buttner leave the club.
The Dutch full-back has struggled with life at the Theatre of Dreams and has made just five starts for the Premier League champions this season.
And now - with Coentrao potentially arriving - Buttner's Old Trafford career could be coming to an end with Turkish giants Galatasaray interested in the star.
Manchester United seem determined to secure the services of Coentrao in this transfer window after missing out on the Real Madrid star last summer.
With Patrice Evra ageing, the Manchester United boss is desperate to bring in a long term replacement for the French left-back and will be hoping to do a deal with the Spanish giants before the end of the month.
