Football News

Washington state police last night confirmed that they had arrested a Seattle Seahawks running back for driving under the influence.

Don't worry it's not Marshawn Lynch, but rookie full-back Spencer Ware from LSU. Ware is currently sitting on the injured reserve list and has not played a down for the Seahawks since week two of the regular season.

His teammate, Lynch helped the Seahawks to a 23-15 win over the New Orleans Saints on Saturday and is sure to feature heavily in the NFC Conference championship against the San Francisco 49ers next week.

Ware was drafted in the sixth round by the Seahawks, but has only had three carries for 10 yards during his brief stay in Seattle.

He ran for 1,240 yards and 10 touchdowns during his time at LSU.

The Seahawks confirmed that they were aware of the arrest but had no further comment to make at this time.
