Panthers Steve Smith slams reporter after dumb question

The internet is littered with accounts of reporters asking sports stars the most ridiculous of questions. I'm sure there are hundreds of videos of a player telling a journalist that he or she is an absolute idiot.

Well now there's a new one for us all to laugh at..

Just what this reporter was thinking when he asked Carolina Panters Steve Smith if he'd be supporting Seattle in the NFC Championship Game is completely beyond me.

Smith had just had his season ended, and his Super Bowl dream dashed,  minutes before this bumbling, out of touch, and unfortunately anonymous buffoon came into the locker room.

And the look on the wide receiver's face is perfect. You can literally see him try and fathom how one person could ask such a stupid question after the 23-10 playoff loss against San Francisco.

“You really want me to thump you upside the head?,” Smith said. “That was the dumbest question, and that's the second dumbest question you've asked. I only cheer for one team. Actually, two teams. My team and my kid's team. Other than that I can give a bleep.”

Better luck next time Mr Reporter.
