Manchester United are the odds-on favourite to sign Everton full-back Leighton Baines.

Sky Bet's latest odds suggest former Everton boss David Moyes remains keen on bringing the left-back to Old Trafford after missing out on the 29-year-old in the summer.

Moyes has been scouring the transfer market for a left-back ever since he took over the reins at Old Trafford as he believes Patrice Evra needs more competition.

The Manchester United boss turned his attention to Fabio Coentrao after Everton dashed his hopes of signing England international.

However the Premier League champions' move for Coentrao was also unsuccessful as they failed to complete the required paperwork before the transfer window slammed shut in the summer.

Talk of a move for Baines has gone quiet over the last couple of months, however the bookmakers still rank Manchester United as major favourites to land the 29-year-old before the end of the month.

Current Sky Bet odds on who could sign Baines by February 1 2014:

Manchester United - 8/11
Chelsea - 8/1
Arsenal - 10/1
Tottenham - 16/1
Liverpool - 25/1
