Bengals' defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer was seen leaving Cincinnati airport early this morning by one eagle eyed individual.

And with the flight bound for Minnesota this is likely to fuel rumors that Zimmer is set to become the Minnesota Vikings new head coach in the next few days.

The Bengals man has been hottly tipped to take up the role and, with a second interview likely to take place today, he is certainly the front runner at this point.

Others reported to be in the running include Broncos pair Adam Gase and Jack Del Rio - both are yet to be interviewed.

While Seahawks coordinators Dan Quinn and Darrell Bevell have also been invited to interview once each by the Vikings.

But with all four of his peers still involved in playoff action, and therefore unable to for further talks, Zimmer seemed to have stolen a march on his rivals as he packed his bags this morning.
