The NHL today revealed what will be done to Dodger Stadium to welcome the 2014 Coors Light Stadium Series, in which the Los Angeles Kings will host the Anaheim Ducks.

The game will take place on Saturday January 25th at 6:30pm PT and 9:30pm ET, and is sure to be an awesome match-up.

Both teams will compete in a regular size rink, but the unfamiliar surroundings of palm trees and beach volleyball may confuse players, especially when local players will compete on courts on the field as well.

But don't worry, the NHL has not gone insane. The palm trees will adorn the Dodger Stadium pitch as a nod to the game's setting on the West Coast.

Recording artist Jordin Sparks will perform the national anthem on a stage that will feature a design created by Californian artist Mister Cartoon. Rock band KISS will also play pre-game and at the first intermission.

It's sure to be an epic day for the fans who turn up.
