Arsenal are reported to be scouting Barcelona's Munir El Haddadi although the Catalan giants remain hopeful they can convince the teenager to sign a long-term contract.
The 18-year-old forward of Moroccan descent has moved through the club's famed La Masia academy and currently plays for Barca's Juvenil A side, where his goals have made other clubs take note.
Arsenal are one of several prominent sides credited with interest in the player, with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich also reportedly keen to recruit him were the opportunity to arise.
The Gunners have a notable history of plucking young talent from the Barcelona set-up, with Cesc Fabregas, Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin all having moved to north London before reaching the Camp Nou first team.
Arsene Wenger would certainly be performing a coup indeed if he is able to sign El Haddadi, who clearly has an eye for the spectacular. Predominantly left-footed, El Haddadi is an exquisite finisher unafraid to try his luck from distance.
