Manchester United duo Marouane Fellaini and Phil Jones are both in contention to face Chelsea on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail.

The aforementioned stars trained with Manchester United's first team today ahead of the Premier League champions' showdown with Chelsea on Sunday.

Fellaini has been on the sidelines since the beginning of December with a wrist and back injury, while Jones has missed Manchester United's last six games with a knee problem.

Red Devils boss David Moyes confirmed in his pre-match press conference that strike duo Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie would miss their side's trip to west London.

Former Everton midfielder Fellaini could go straight into Manchester United's starting line-up as Moyes has had to rely on Michael Carrick and Tom Cleverley during the festive period.

Moyes has been able to call on Darren Fletcher in recent weeks but may need a rest considering he had not played for just under a year before returning against Aston Villa on December 15.

Jones could also be thrown straight back into action if Moyes decides to deploy three in midfield against Jose Mourinho's side.
