New Orleans Saints safety Rafael Bush has been punished with a $21,000 fine for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Percy Harvin during his team's loss against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Saints crashed out of the play-offs at the hands of the Superbowl-bound Seahawks in the divisional round two weeks ago.
During that game, Bush was pulled up and flagged for 15 yards for a heavy hit on Harvin, and now the NFL have announced that the Saints player has been fined $21,000 for his indiscretion.
Luckily Harvin was unhurt in the collision, although he was forced from the field later on following a legitimate hit from New Orleans Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins.
The minor head injuries that the wide receiver suffered forced him to miss the Seahawks' Championship game win over the San Francisco 49ers last night.
FoxSports report however that he will be fit to face off against the Denver Broncos in the Superbowl, which takes place on February 2.
