Liverpool need ‘indecent proposal’ to land Arsenal & Spurs target

Liverpool must offer in excess of £15million to land Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Hernanes.

That’s the verdict of Lazio club president Claudio Lotito, who insists that the Serie ‘A’ outfit do not want to offload the 28-year-old Brazilian in the January transfer window.

However, he admits that an ‘indecent proposal’ might persuade the Rome giants to part with their playmaker, who has been earning rave reviews in Italy this season.

"I do not want to sell him, we will have to receive an indecent offer - £15m will not be enough," he told TMW.

Hernanes himself has played down the possibility of a move to the Premier League, insisting he’s focused on life at Stadio Olimpico rather than a potential switch to either the Reds or Gunners.

"I do not want to hear these stories, I want to focus on my work and help the team," he said, according to TalkSPORT.

Liverpool already have a number of top-class Brazilian players at their disposal, with Luvas Leiva and Philippe Coutinho plying their trade in the first-team at Anfield.

And, the radio station claims Hernanes’ compatriots could be key to persuading the player to join Brendan Rodgers and the Reds this month.

The Merseyside giants will first need a big-money offer accepted though, and it remains to be seen if Liverpool are willing to pay in excess of £15million to sign the player.

It’s the same scenario for Arsenal, who have been linked with a move for the player for several months.

The Gunners aren’t short of attacking talent in the creative midfield position however, with Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla two of the best in the business operating at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite their lack of Brazilians in north London, manager Arsene Wenger has shown his powers of persuasion in the past - most notably with the signing of Ozil - and it remains to be seen if Arsenal will challenge their rivals for the signature.
