The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will hire Jason Licht as their new General Manager according to Jay Glazer.

Glazer tweeted earlier that: "The Bucs have tabbed Jason Licht as their new General Manager. The two sides are still working out the contract."

Licht is currently working for the Arizona Cardinals as the vice president of player personnel.

He started off his career as a scout for a number of NFL teams before working in player personnel for the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and Cardinals.

He has been on the staff of one Super Bowl Champion, two NFC Championship teams and two AFC Championship teams.

Last year Licht interviewed for the vacant Chicago Bears GM job but was passed over for Phil Emery.

Licht was also rumoured to be interviewing for the vacant Miami Dolphins GM position.

Adam Schefter also reported that Licht is to receive a four-year deal, the same that new head coach Lovie Smith was given earlier this year.
