Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has block Demba Ba leaving the club for Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, reports The Metro

The Turkish club's president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu has revealed that the club had agreed terms with the Chelsea forward ahead of a move this month.

And it was understood that Trabzonspor had agreed a deal worth £7m for the star, however any potential move now appears unlikely after the injury to Fernando Torres.

When speaking to reporters, Haciosmanoglu said: "We had agreed terms with Demba Ba.

"However, following Fernando Torres’ injury, Mourinho made it clear that they didn’t want to let go of Ba just yet.

However, despite Chelsea insisting that they wouldn't let the striker depart, Haciosmanoglu has revealed that the club are still interested in the player's services.

He continued by saying: "Despite this we are still interested in Ba."

It remains to be seen as to how long Torres will be out of action for, but early indications have suggested that the star will miss up to six weeks of action

It's now expected that Ba will stay at Chelsea for the remainder of the season as the Blues go in search of success in this campaign. Chelsea will be in action this weekend as they take on Stoke City in the FA Cup fourth round at Stamford Bridge.
