Dwayane Wade will not play vs. the Lakers in Thursday night's game.
ESPN reporter Michael Wallace, via Twitter, explained Wade will sit out the game at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
This will be Wade's fourth consecutive absence from the Heat game roster, and the 13th time this season he will not participate for the reigning champions.
Wade has averaged 18.9 points per game in his 30 starts this season, second only to LeBron (26.2), and the Heat have struggled in recent games where he has not been amongst the starters.
They have a 6-6 record without Wade this year compared to 24-6 with him.
The nine-time All-Star has been struggling with knee soreness recently and, while his absence was initially put down to "maintenance", an extended break from the team will be a worry to Heat fans, and players a like.
Only yesterday LeBron James admitted the team is struggling without Wade:
"With the concern with D-Wade, it's been tough on all of us trying to fill that," he told reporters.
The Heat tip-off against the LA Lakers tonight at 8 PM E.T.
