Juan Mata first Manchester United interview hoax

If and when Juan Mata gives his first interview as a Manchester United player, it’s unlikely to be anything like this.

The online team at TalkSPORT has had a field day creating the Spanish international’s ‘first’ interview with the Red Devils, discussing players, recent form and wanting a move to Real Madrid.

He also says he’s moving to Old Trafford for money in the spoof video, and hopes the Premier League champions’ bad players will make him look good.

One can only imagine that the people involved in the mischievous clip are Chelsea fans, unhappy to see one of their top players leaving for pastures new.

The Blues midfielder was player of the year in west London for consecutive seasons, before Jose Mourinho arrived and shook things up at Stamford Bridge.

And, the former La Liga star couldn't have foreseen this move coming when he actually filmed the video three-years ago - after signing for Chelsea.

Manchester United fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that the move does go-ahead for real in the coming days, and that Mata gives a legitimate first interview to the club.

BBC Sport reports that the 25-year-old is flying north for a medical today, with a move set to break the Red Devils' current transfer record of £30.75million - paid for Dimitar Berbatov.

And, he'll have several days to get used to his new Manchester United teammates before Tuesday night's clash with Cardiff.
