Real Sociedad have denied suggestions they've received an offer from Chelsea for Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann, reports talkSPORT.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been the subject of intense transfer speculation in recent weeks, with rumours that he'll leave the Anoeta Stadium in favour of a switch to the Premier League.

Red Devils boss David Moyes has been credited with an interest in bringing Griezmann to Old Trafford, but that was prior to news of their prospective deal for Juan Mata.

The Chelsea midfielder is set to leave Stamford Bridge and sign for Manchester United in a reported £37million deal.

Jose Mourinho has since been linked with a move for the talented Frenchman, with some of the Mata money going towards paying the Real Sociedad star's £25million buyout clause.

However, a source close to the Primera Division club has rejected those claims, telling Spanish newspaper Diario Vasco: "We do not know anything about the possible interest of Chelsea in our forward Antoine Griezmann.

"We have not received any offers and no-one from London has asked us about the issue. We are calm in that sense."

Griezmann has impressed at Real Sociedad this season, scoring 15 goals in all competitions for Jagoba Arrasate's side, prompting a number of admiring glances from potential suitors.
