Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis is facing another suspension after failing a marijuana test, according to CBS Sports sources.
The 28-year-old, who is a pending free agent, has been criticised - and, indeed, suspended - for his off-field behaviour in the past.
And this latest indiscretion could severely limit his free-agent options after he is released from the Redskins in March.
Davis showed huge potential during the early stages of his career, but has struggled to live up to the hype because of the off-field incidents combined with a series of untimely injuries.
The Ohio-born player did, however, win the Washington Redskins' Offensive Player of the Year award in 2011.
But since then he has regressed, and was only used sparingly last season.
So, where next for Davis? Will he redeem himself at another team next season?
Or have we already seen the best of this talented - but flawed - tight end?
