Manchester United could be set for more good news this transfer window as it emerged that David Moyes has turned his attention to more targets.

According to the Daily Mail the Red Devils boss has hardly been resting on his laurels after having sensationally captured Juan Mata for £37.1million and has now highlighted Atletico Madrid pair Diego Costa and Filipe Luis as his next potential recruits.

It’s believed that United sent representatives to watch the duo during Atletico’s 4-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano yesterday in what is the latest of a series of rumours linking the reigning Premier League champions to overseas players.

Costa has been on their radar for a while now as Moyes readies himself for the possibility of Wayne Rooney leaving. And though that scenario now seems unlikely, given the reports of a monumental offer being prepared to keep the England star at Old Trafford, one area they do desperately need to strengthen is the left side of defence.

With Patrice Evra almost certainly departing this summer and Leighton Baines having penned a new deal at Everton, Filipe Luis could be the man that Moyes opts to revamp his left side.

Costa is said to have a release clause of around £32million whereas Filipe could cost as much as £18million.
