This Tuesday sees the second Merseyside derby of this Premier League season and it is has the potential be a cracker.

Brendan Rodgers and Roberto Martinez's teams are one point and two places apart in the Premier League, so the local rivalry with have some added edge.

Liverpool sit fourth in the table and still have hopes of being contenders for the title, so a win is a must if they are to keep pace with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Everton have the look of a side that have been liberated under new manager Martinez and the brand of football they are playing has instilled them with the belief that they can   finally break into the Champions League places.

Anfield will be the setting for the clash on Tuesday evening and both managers have a number of injury issues to deal with, as Premier League fans hope for a game similar in excitement to the 3-3 draw at Goodison Park in November.

Liverpool will be without Glen Johnson, Lucas Leiva, Daniel Agger, Jose Enrique, while there are doubts over Joe Allen and Mamadou Sakho.

Everton will definitely be without Darron Gibson, Arouna Kone and Byran Oviedo, after he suffered a terrible leg break in the FA Cup win over Stevenage at the weekend.

There are also doubts over Ross Barkley, Phil Jagielka, Sylvain Distin, Antolin Alcaraz, Steven Pienaar and Seamus Coleman, but most of those are just knocks and could make the fixture.
