The following are three talented players who I believe could win the Ballon d'Or at some point during their careers...
3) Mario Gotze
I firmly believe the young and very talented German will win the Ballon d’Or one day. It is plain to see how talented he is and during his final season with Borussia Dortmund he was a fundamental and very important player for them.
Since joining bitter rivals Bayern Munich, he now has the chance to show the world what he is capable of.
2) Gareth Bale
Since making a world record move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid, Bale has shown that he is a world-class player and can compete with the best on the planet. Even though he is playing second fiddle to Cristiano Ronaldo, he can still show the Madrid fans and the world what he can do.
Bale is blessed with tremendous speed and technique. Not many can shoot or take free kicks like Bale and it’s because of this that he will one day win the coveted award.
This Brazilian wonderkid has a nation's hopes on his shoulders as we approach the World Cup but if he plays as well or better than he did during the Confederations Cup, then Brazil could possibly win the tournament in their own back yard.
Neymar is a fantastic player and since he moved to Barcelona he is continuing to show the world how good he actually is. Playing alongside Lionel Messi has made him not only a better player but a better teammate and there is no doubt on anyone’s mind that he will win the Ballon d’Or.
