Manchester United have identified three possible replacements for veteran defender Rio Ferdinand.

The Daily Mail claim Manchester United are keen on bringing either Eliaquim Mangala, Kurt Zouma or Dante to the Premier League in hope that they can replace Ferdinand.

Manchester United have been tracking Porto's Mangala throughout the season as Red Devils boss David Moyes is keen on overhauling his squad.

Saint-Etienne defender Kurt Zouma is also said to be on Moyes' wish list, however it appears the 19-year-old could be on his way to Manchester United's Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Bayern Munich's Brazilian defender Dante.

The 30-year-old is currently locked in negotiations with Bayern Munich but could leave at the end of the season if he fails to agree terms with the Bundesliga outfit.

Moyes is likely to make a move for one of the aforementioned defenders when Ferdinand's contract expires at the end of the season.

Ferdinand's fellow centre-back Nemanja Vidic could also leave on a free transfer in the summer.
