Lazio star Hernanes is close to securing a switch to Serie A rivals Inter Milan, if reports in Italy are to be believed.

SportsMediaset claims that negotiations are advancing concerning a switch that would see the Brazilian move to the San Siro, despite strong interest from the Premier League.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been credited as wanting the 28-year-old, whose form at Lazio has been eye-catching this campaign.

As of today talks may have hit a slight snag as Lazio and Inter both value Hernanes at different prices. It’s thought that Lazio want €15million plus a stake in the contract of Inter youngster Ibrahima Mbaye, however the Nerazzurri are keen on only paying €10million and giving their rivals Mbaye in a full capacity.

It remains to be seen how long it will take before an agreement is reached but the likes of United and Arsenal will undoubtedly be disgruntled by the news that a deal could be imminent.

Both clubs have been linked with moves to strengthen their midfields and will be forced to turn to other targets if Hernanes opts for Inter.
