Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has signed a new three-and-a-half year deal to stay at Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old shot stopper is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Premier League champions as he is currently behind David de Gea, Anders Lindegaard and Ben Amos in David Moyes' pecking order.
Johnstone has been shipped out on loan four times during his time at Old Trafford - with the custodian enjoying short-term spells at Oldham Athletic, Scunthorpe United, Walsall and Yeovil Town.
The Manchester United starlet will be hoping he can break into Moyes' plans over the next three seasons.
Johnstone, who represented England at last summer's Under-20 World Cup, was on the substitutes' bench for Manchester United's games against Stoke and West Ham in December.
The youngster has played five games for Manchester United's development side since being forced into cutting short his three-month loan spell at Yeovil due to a finger injury he sustained at the beginning of the season.
