Teddy Bridgewater is expected to go high in the 2014 NFL Draft.

But he is not content with going in the first few picks - he wants to be number one.

In fact that is all he is thinking about right now.

Speaking to WHBE-AM in Louisville the Cardinals quarterback was focussed on his ambition:

"(It's) my dream right now, and I'm just trying to make it come true," he said.

If he was to be taken first overall that would mean him signing with the Houston Texans who own the first draft pick and are currently no doubt debating who to choose with a strong 2014 class to pick from.

But he faces competition for the honor from the likes of Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel and Blake Bortles who have been picked in various mock drafts to go first.

With this in mind Bridgewater is hard at work preparing for the NFL combine and pre-draft workouts:

"I just want to be that guy", he told the radio hosts Wednesday.

He also revealed what his first major purchase will be when he signs the lucrative NFL contract.

A new car for his mom is recovering from breast cancer:

"When I was in third grade, I promised my mom that I would get her a pink Escalde.

"Pink is the color that represents breast cancer, so I just want to get her that big pink Escalade truck and see that big smile on her face."

Bridgewater certainly has it all planned out but we will have to wait until May to see if his dream comes true.
