There was certainly no shortage of talking points during the latest round of captivating Premier League action that took place over Tuesday and Wednesday night.
While there were goals galore in matches at White Hart Lane, St. Mary's and Villa Park, there were also a number of negative incidents that resulted in red cards for a number of top-flight players.
Bradley Johnson and Loic Remy were both given their marching orders for an unsavoury incident during the fixture between Norwich and Newcastle at Carrow Road, while combative midfielder Mathieu Flamini was sent off for Arsenal during their 2-2 draw with Southampton and Steven N'Zonzi was dismissed during Stoke's defeat at Sunderland.
Full-back Danny Rose was also shown a red card for a tackle on Edin Dzeko as Manchester City romped to a 5-1 win over Tottenham and Hull goalkeeper Alan McGregor was sent for an early bath after lashing out at Stuart O'Keefe during the Tigers' 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park.
