Arsenal have set their transfer sights on Morgan Schneiderlin after PSG star Blaise Matuidi snubbed a potential move, according to reports. claims the Gunners want the 24-year-old to bolster their ranks ahead of the Premier League run-in, after a number of pivotal injuries at the heart of their side.

Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere are both on the sidelines in north London, and the Southampton midfielder would certainly add some additional strength-in-depth at the Emirates Stadium.

The report goes on to claim that Arsenal have been quoted £15million for the former French youth international, who continues to impress in the top flight on the south coast.

Matuidi, meanwhile, is set to snub the interest of the Gunners and sign a contract extension in Paris, ending speculation over his future. reports that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger made an enquiry for the 26-year-old yesterday (Wednesday), but the Ligue 1 champions don’t want to sell the 19-cap Les Bleus international.

And, with less than 36 hours remaining in the transfer window, it's a player with experience in the English top flight who has come to the attention of the Gunners.
