Manchester United are in talks with Serie A outfit Torino over the possibility of sending Guillermo Varela to Italy for the rest of the season, according to the Daily Mail.

Varela, who signed a five-year deal at Manchester United in the summer, is yet to feature in a competitive game for the Premier League champions so far this season.

The right-back remains behind the likes of Rafael in Manchester United's pecking order.

Moyes has also chosen to deploy Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Antonio Valencia at right-back ahead of Varela.

The 20-year-old Uruguayan, who was the first signing of Moyes' regime, is keen to get some football under his belt between now and the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Cardiff City have confirmed they have signed Manchester United duo Wilfried Zaha and Fabio.

Zaha has moved on a loan deal until the end of the season, while full-back Fabio has joined on a permanent basis.
