Manchester United's Nani is not heading to Tottenham, according to the Daily Mail and Le 10 Sport.

The Daily Mail reports that United and Spurs held two days' worth of negotiations regarding a potential swap deal involving Nani and Andros Townsend.

But the two clubs failed to reach an agreement and there will be no late revival of talks according to Le 10 Sport.

The French newspaper says negotiations have been ended, and Tottenham did not want to lose Townsend anyway.

Nani, on the other hand, continues to be linked with a number of Italian clubs. Reports in Italy claim AC Milan are the latest to show an interest in the Portuguese international.

It's been a busy day at Old Trafford in terms of outgoings already, with a number of academy starlets leaving on loan.

Fabio and Wilfried Zaha have joined Cardiff City while Birmingham City have snapped up Tyler Blackett and Tom Thorpe.

Unfortunately for United fans, Moyes has said that he does not expect the club to make any signings before tonight's deadline.
